After retiring, he started a private firm, Flynn Intel Group, offering consulting/intelligence services to corporations and governments. When Trump tapped him to become National Security Advisor, the Flynn Intel Group's website disappeared. The homepage shows the business logo with no way in to the site.
The rest of the site is no longer there anyway, according to Google's cache. The cache keeps copies of webpages and other documents only if they're online. Once the pages are deleted, they soon disappear from Google's cache too. Luckily, I sifted the cache as soon as news got around that Flynn's site had vanished. It's a good thing, because the site isn't in the Internet Archive.
The pages that were in Google's cache were pretty funky - images were missing; formatting was nonexistent; the background was black with dark-blue lettering that was almost impossible to read. I took screencaps of the most discernible portions, and I selected and copied most of the available text, then pasted it into Wordpad. I snagged some photos from Google's image-search cache before they also disappeared.
It feels like trying to piece together an ancient manuscript from a few shards of a scroll or tablet.
